The Lange Farm Trailer

Everyone loves this venue located in Dade City Florida.  It has so much room for portraits and the ariel views are to die for.  This is easily one of my favorite spots down here in Florida – I swear brides just get spoiled with these kinds of venues :)

I get asked a lot about toasts on the wedding day.  The reason for setting them up and also how to set them up; A lot of great content will come from toasts, beautiful words spoken, sweet memories of our couples and meaningful stories. With that being said it’s our job as visual artists to make sure this looks its best.  So here’s how it goes.  Up-lights are always a no when it comes to this moment,  It’s not very flattering seeing bright red or purple coming out from the brides head so we turn those off right away.  We also don’t like when the room is just plain bright as its a mood killer.  The tables are set with centerpieces and candles and most toasts are meaningful, so the mood has to be set.  The darker the room the better because we don’t need to use a lot of light if the room is darker for us.  When we set them up this way we have a clear clean shot of just the couple, and also just the person giving a speech.  We also have a 3rd or 4th camera roaming the guests reactions.  Content is key and having toasts setup photo and video friendly is simply a must.  This was taken place at The Lange Farm in Dade City FL

Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach: Marry Me Tampa Bay Styled shoot.

Modern Gold Ballroom Styled Wedding Shoot | Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach

The revitalization of Clearwater Beach is bringing a fresh look and style to the popular wedding destination, named #1 beach by TripAdvisor. Marry Me Tampa Bay is excited to be one of the first to showcase one of Clearwater’s newest wedding venues, the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach.

With Clearwater Beach wedding planner Parties A La Carte taking the lead, the ballrooms at the Wyndham Grand were transformed into an elegant, romantic indoor ceremony, followed by a modern, South Beach inspired reception.

The ceremony featured elegant and dramatic draping by Gabro Event Services, with clear ghost chairs by A Chair Affair lining the the wedding aisle.

Long feasting tables adorned by gold sparkle linens from Over the Top Rental Linens, tall gold and green palm leaf centerpieces and ornate chargers added to the glamorous atmosphere.

The silver mirrored bar and white lounge furniture were the perfect backdrop for the 5-tier gold wedding cake designed by The Artistic Whisk. While the live band that surrounded the dance floor provided by Signature Event Rentals created an entertaining setting.

The hair and makeup artists of Michele Renee The Studio and the stunning blush and tulle wedding dress from Isabel O’Neil Bridal made the bride the focal point of the entire day.

Clearwater Beach wedding photographer Andi Diamond Photography captured all of the details and sunset portraits, while wedding videographer

tips for smooth/perfect bride preperations.

Hair should be done before makeup – finishing touches of makeup will look so much better with your hair all dolled up!

Makeup – this is a very important part of the day as far as content for us videographers and photographers.  We always ask you have your artist put you in natural light and a spot that isn’t cluttered with a lot of bridesmaids and parents casually walking in the background.  If this can’t happen the first time, then sometimes we have to fake a lot of the makeup for your film and pictures.  This is always a bad approach because it takes a lot of time away from your day, and the last thing you want is arriving to your ceremony late because makeup wasn’t ideal and now your film and images are bad.

Slipping in the dress is a key moment as well.  I always find the light, and tell the bride once shes in her dress and comfortable in front of the camera to come out and step into the good light.  Now every angle and every photo you’re going to look stunning.  So always take the advice from the photographer or videographer when they give you a little direction, you’ve spent all this money for perfection, just take our advice and you’re golden :)

Jordan + Andy – River Wilderness Country Club (click link below)

Jordan and Andys wedding took place at the River Wilderness Country Club, in Parrish Florida.  I had coached Jordan to make sure she was in great light and when I had arrived to bridal preps she was in great light!  I knew right away the day was going to be smooth.  Enjoy!

Here is my latest wedding trailer from October, 22nd.  Parrish Florida.  As usual sound and lighting are the MOST important thing your videographer should be focused on.  I always light the dance floor so from all angles you’re going to be well exposed.  Bride prep is also important, natural light is a must!

Latest Instagram trailer, another great wedding up north. I always position the toasts so they look very clean and elegant.  Great shots of everyone and when the film is released, you’ll notice all the reactions from the guests’ Sound and lighting are #1 for great films.

entry date: 9.28.16

Here’s my latest beauty.  This was filmed up in Lebanon OH (a little historic town about 45 minutes north of Cincinnati.  Cassie was 100% open to all suggestions I had offered, from the timeline, to the lighting to the order of the reception.  Most bride’s don’t understand the importance of having a specific order to give everyone enough time to swap out lenses, change lighting etc.  Luckily she wanted a great film, and this is why she hired great vendors, and with educating my brides the end product is flawless.  Although there was a 3 hour rain delay and a scare of “moving the ceremony site” I knew if we just waited it would clear up, thankfully it did :)   This was a solo shoot filmed with 3 DSLR cameras, and a small audio mixer.  Most of the drone footage was filmed after the wedding, sometimes worrying about the eye candy shots will make you miss the solid important shots…so anyone reading this remember you can always go back to the venue sites and deck out your film or grab some crisp images.

entry date: 9.26.16 – So every now and then I will play around with some weddings, create oddball things or make mini demo’s and such.  While I was at the gym today I was playing around with some of my Instagram photo’s that I take screen grabs from my video’s and edit them all pretty and nice.  I got an idea to take a handful of photo’s from a wedding last month and “comic them” and create a hilarious video of the day – the link is below and it’s also on my Instagram page.

Marissa + Tom – destination wedding (instagram trailer)

I loved these two…down to earth and just hilarious to be around.  Of course I set Marissa in the best light for makeup (so shes 100% flawless in all angles), I set the toasts up for lighting (because lighting will make or break the shot and the moments) Cincinnati legend Brittany Bays was great to work with (she also travels 😉 and would love to visit the sunshine state). Filmed in Cincinnati OH

Alex + Devin – Tampa Wedding Film.  Please share, like, tweet and pin! **make sure that HD is set to 1080p!

I met Alex about a week before her wedding. We met up at Starbucks while I told her two things I needed in order to make a great film. If I were to write her right now she would tell me, “great audio, and great light.” There is nothing better than a well educated bride. I learned a little bit about their story together, living in Fl then ending up north…how he proposed in the snow up in Mystic Connecticut. I love learning the little back stories about each of the couples I get to film.
Here’s the A list locations and teams for this wedding.
